Here is my review for the week of April 2-8th
Sales of $215.78 after expenses, not including cost of goods. This is below the $300 weekly amount I want. I only listed 28 items, which helps explain the low numbers. Consistent listing is a key in ebay sales. My goal for this week is 15 listings per day, 75 total.
I made $200 last week doing extra work (cleaning windows, digging a ditch). I spent $185 of that paying my city and county business taxes.
The first week of the month is a critical financial time for me. Rent is due and so is my Ebay bill. This coincides with natural lag in my cleaning business income, so there are no checks coming in at that time. I need to fund a $500 emergency fund to cover this and give me some peace of mind.
Proper nutrition and stress control is vital for me to continue losing weight. Last week, after I paid my local business taxes instead of waiting, I ran out of chicken and kale and started eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I can eat PB&J all day, every day. So I ate too much and started gaining weight. Also, on Saturday while working, I at a Little Ceasars pizza. It was only $5 and I was out of the good, nutritious food I normally eat and I had some financial stress and that seemed to console me. Those were bad decisions.
A $500 emergency fund along with proper meal planning should alleviate this.
I need to up my intensity; be more focused and money conscious. Ebay must work or I must get a job. For ebay to work I must list at least 10 items per day, 5 days a week. Really more, but let’s start with that.
Also, I need to be open to adding more cleaning accounts. Maybe 3 or 4 more. It’s either that or get a job and jobs are too time consuming.
Good workouts, I ran 5 days and my times are starting to go below a 13 minute mile. Pushups, situps and stretching all worked fine last week, good consistency.
The bad-my nutrition late in the week when I ran out of cash. My weight went from 236 to 242 in 3 days. I’ll focus on getting back on track nutritionally, eating a kale or spinach salad every day along with having chicken breast and lean hamburg cooked and ready to eat and snack on. I’m taking Monday off from jogging and squatting to heal my right knee which is a little sore.
Feeling good mentally. I’ve been listening to Nathaniel Bradens’ Succeeding Through Inner Strength. I’ve listened to it several times. Braden wrote several books on self-esteem, including the bestseller When I Say No I Feel Guilty. Braden uses a system called Sentence Completion to raise the self-esteem. You can read about his process here. I am currently doing the sentence completions in the morning to try it out. Basically, it helps bring more awareness to your life and your decisions.
Simply not good enough. I need more intention and more financial buffer. I’m going to sell my Playstation 4 and put that towards a $500 emergency fund.
